12th October 1852. Sailed from Lowestoft for Tonning.
15th October 1852. Arrived at Lowestoft from Tonning.
22nd October 1852. Arrived at Lowestoft, Captain Hart, with 233 cattle and 235 sheep, and sailed again.
8th November 1852. Purchased by the North of Europe Steam Navigation Company.
4th December 1852. Due to sail in a few days time for Oporto, under charter.
28th February 1853. Arrived at Lowestoft, Captain Cockburn, from Harlingen with 99 oxen, 152 sheep and 97 passengers on route for Liverpool to embark for America.
7th March 1853. Sailed from Harlingen, Captain Thomas Forster Cockburn, laden with cattle and a general cargo. The weather being thick with snow she grounded on a mud bank. She was subsequently backed off, and took the ground astern, doing serious damage to her rudder. This having been temporarily secured she proceeded to Nieu Dieppe, and having taken in the remainder of the cargo, made for Lowestoft off which she arrived about noon; when about to enter the harbour, the rudder, from a sudden strain upon it, dropped off. She was afterwards assisted in by two steam tugs.
11th April 1853. Arrived at Lowestoft, Captain Hart, from Harlingen with a general cargo of cattle, grain and cheese, etc.
6th August 1853. Arrived at Lowestoft from Tonning with 233 head of cattle and 316 sheep.
16th September 1853. Arrived at Lowestoft from Tonning.
17th September 1853. Thomas Collinson was charged with smuggling tobacco and was fined £2 . 10s.
21st September 1853. John Weavers convicted of smuggling and was fined £100, or to be imprisoned until the fine is paid.
23rd September 1853. Arrived at Lowestoft, Captain Hart, and sailed again for Tonning.
15th February 1854. In service of the Government between Portsmouth and the Baltic fleet.
7th July 1854. Arrived at Lowestoft from Tonning with 226 oxen, 145 sheep, and a quantity of grain. She is now chartered by the Government to convey stores to the Baltic fleet.
9th July 1854. Sailed from Lowestoft for Gosport.
12th July 1856. Arrived at Lowestoft, Captain George Oliver, from Tonning, with a cargo of 220 bullocks, and 376 sheep and lambs.
24th October 1856. Arrived at Lowestoft with 156 oxen, 23 sheep, some geese, and goats.
9th March 1855. Sailed from Lowestoft for Balaklava after an urgent request for cattle fodder which could not be procured there.
18th January 1856. Arrived at Lowestoft from London for the purpose of undergoing a thorough repair at the company’s factory, previous to sailing for the Crimea.
11th March 1856. Sailed from Lowestoft for London, whence she will commence running to Tonning, from London every Friday.
12th July 1856. Arrived at Lowestoft, Captain George Oliver, from Tonning, with a cargo of 220 bullocks, and 376 sheep and lambs.
9th August 1856. Sailed from Lowestoft for Tonning.
10th August 1856. Arrived at Tonning from Lowestoft.
14th August 1856. Arrived at Lowestoft from Tonning with a cargo consisting of 166 oxen, 134 sheep and lambs, and 280 deals.
18th August 1856. Sailed from Lowestoft, Captain Oliver, for St. Petersburg, with goods and passengers.
26th September 1856. Samuel Drary, an ordinary seaman was unfortunately drowned. It appears that whilst the vessel was on her passage from Tonning, bound for London, the deceased, with four others, was engaged stowing away the jib, when she was struck with three heavy seas in succession, one of which carried the young man over-board, and notwithstanding every attempt to rescue him, he drowned.
24th October 1856. Arrived at Lowestoft with 156 oxen, 23 sheep, some geese, and goats.
15th November 1856. Arrived at Lowestoft from Tonning with a cargo of 161 head of oxen, and 92 bags of oats, Captain George Oliver.

4th July 1857. Sailed from Lowestoft for Tonning, for the purpose of taking in the first cargo.
11th July 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft from Tonning with a cargo of 225 head of oxen, 233 sheep, and 70 lambs. This is the first importation of cattle this season. She also had several passengers.
18th July 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft from Tonning wirh a cargo of 227 head of oxen, and 300 sheep.
25th July 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft with 205 oxen, 285 sheep, 79 sheep, and other goods.
14th August 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft from Freedreckstadt with 172 head of oxen, 60 sheep, 38 lambs, and 2 passengers. 29th August 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft with 229 beasts, 35 sheep, and 88 lambs.
11th September 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft.
4th September 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft with 215 beasts and 106 lambs.
18th September 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft, Captain Oliver, with 171 beasts and 66 sheep.

23rd October 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft from Frederiekstadt with 238 head of oxen, and 82 sheep, and some grain.
31st October 1857. While proceeding for Lowestoft harbour she ran foul of a Pakefield fishing boat; two of the crew jumped on board, and two others endeavouring to do so fell into the sea. She immediately put back, and after much difficulty succeeded in rescuing the poor men in a very exhausted condition. She later arrived in the harbour from Frederickstast with 230 head of oxen.
7th November 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft from the Duchy of Schleswig with 148 beasts and 18 sheep.
15th November 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft, Captain Oliver, from Frederickstadt with 202 head of oxen and 500 geese.
16th November 1857. George Rushly, fireman, was charged with smuggling half a-pound of tobacco and was fined £1 . 4s., also, William Reade was charged with smuggling 4½lbs of tobacco, which was found under his bed. Read denied it, saying he was ashore at the time. The case was dismissed and told to be more careful in future.
27th November 1857. Arrived at Lowestoft from Frederickstadt with 180 head of oxen, 120 qrs. of grain, and 50 tons of beef.
1858. Registered by The North of Europe Steam Navigation Company.
22nd January 1858. While the ship was lying at the company’s factory, Lowestoft, John Day, a labourer employed amongst the floats, received a severe cut on the back of his head and side of his face when a portion on machinery unexpectedly gave way.
7th June 1858. The North of Europe Steam Navigation Company’s board proposed the purchase of three ships, ‘Tonning’, ‘City of Norwich’, and the ‘Hamburg’ by Sir S. M. Peto for the sum of £28,000.

16th July 1858. Sailed from Lowestoft, Captain Rivers, for London, preparatory to engaging in the cattle trade. To steam between Tonning and Lowestoft.
